Nilai, diferensiasi, dan strategi komunikasi yang tepat menjadi ragam cara untuk membangun brand. Hal ini menjadi inti diskusi dalam Kelas Digital bertema \u201cMembangun Brand Melalui Media Sosial\u201d, bersama Rasuli, S.Sos., Koordinator Media Sosial Biro Humas dan Pemeringkatan (BHP) UMS.<\/p>\n<p>Pada kegiatan yang digagas oleh Lembaga Pers Mahasiswa (LPM) Natural Farmasi UMS, Rasuli mengangkat tema \u201cMembangun Brand Melalui Media Sosial\u201d. Tema ini secara khusus mengajak peserta untuk memahami branding lebih dari sekadar logo dan tampilan media sosial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKita sering keliru. Fokusnya bukan membangun brand media sosial, tapi bagaimana membangun brand melalui media sosial,\u201d terang ulang Rasuli, Selasa (10\/6).<\/p>\n<p>Ia menekankan bahwa media sosial hanya sebagai alat (tools) dalam proses branding. Nilai utama dari brand justru terletak pada identitas, persepsi, dan nilai yang dibangun dan ditanamkan kepada publik.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-27011\" src=\"https:\/\/news.ums.ac.id\/id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/06\/Foto-Web-News-UMS.zip-fotoweb-7.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Menurutnya, branding adalah proses yang membutuhkan strategi jangka panjang, bukan sekadar membuat logo atau memilih nama yang menarik.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrand itu persepsi. Sedangkan branding adalah upaya membentuk persepsi itu. Jadi kalau kalian hanya punya logo, itu belum mencukupi sebagai brand,\u201d tegasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Pada sesi interaktif, peserta diajak untuk memahami perbedaan antara brand, branding, dan merek. Rasuli menggunakan analogi sederhana: nama di KTP adalah merek, sedangkan brand adalah bagaimana orang lain memandang kita.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSeringkali yang keliru adalah ketika kita lebih sibuk mengelola tampilan media sosial, tetapi lupa bahwa yang utama adalah membangun value dan citra dari organisasi atau produk kita melalui media sosial itu sendiri,\u201d imbuh Rasuli.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu, ia juga menjelaskan strategi membangun brand melalui tiga tahapan: memahami produk (product insight), mengenal perilaku target audiens (target behavior), dan mengetahui tipe adopsi pasar (adoption category). Ia bahkan mengklasifikasikan pasar ke dalam lima kelompok: inovator, early adopter, early majority, late majority, dan laggard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSetiap brand akan menemukan pasarnya masing-masing. Tapi perlu strategi agar brand itu diterima sesuai karakter audiensnya,\u201d terang Rasuli.<\/p>\n<p>Lebih lanjut, dalam sesi pemaparan yang diadakan pada Minggu (8\/6), Rasuli menekankan bahwa proses membangun brand dimulai dari memahami kebutuhan pasar, menetapkan core value, serta menciptakan brand DNA dan positioning yang kuat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBanyak yang salah kaprah. Langsung bikin nama dan logo dulu. Padahal yang harus dimulai adalah memahami produk, target pasar, dan nilai apa yang ingin kita tawarkan,\u201d tegasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Brand yang kuat, menurut Rasuli, adalah brand yang memiliki value dan call to action (CTA). \u201cJika tidak ada CTA, bisa diperkuat dengan tagline yang memperkuat value atau brand itu,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Tak kalah penting, menurut Rasuli, brand yang baik harus memiliki personality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrand yang kuat punya kepribadian. Apakah dia hangat, profesional, ramah, atau inspiratif. Semua harus bisa terlihat di media sosial maupun produk yang dihasilkan,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Di akhir sesi, ia mengajak peserta untuk tidak terpaku pada tampilan luar brand saja, tetapi fokus pada pesan, nilai, dan pengalaman yang dibangun bersama audiens.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrand yang hebat bukan hanya dikenal, tapi juga dikenang. Dan itu hanya bisa dicapai jika kita benar-benar tahu siapa kita, siapa audiens kita, dan apa yang ingin kita sampaikan,\u201d tegasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Kegiatan Kelas Digital ini mendapat antusiasme tinggi dari peserta, yang sebagian besar berasal dari lingkungan Lembaga Pers Mahasiswa dan organisasi mahasiswa di FKIP UMS. Para peserta tidak hanya menyimak, tetapi juga aktif berdiskusi melalui sesi tanya-jawab.<\/p>\n<p>Rasuli menutup sesi dengan mengingatkan peserta untuk konsisten dalam proses membangun brand organisasi. Media sosial, katanya, bisa menjadi ruang strategis asalkan digunakan dengan arah dan nilai yang tepat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBrand yang kuat tidak lahir dari konten viral sesaat, tapi dari proses panjang membangun nilai dan reputasi yang konsisten,\u201d pungkasnya.
