Tim GEOTERRA CUBE dari Program Studi Teknik Sipil berhasil meraih Juara 3 pada ajang Civil Innovation Challenge (CIC) 2025 yang diselenggarakan oleh Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Tahun 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Tahun ini, CIC mengusung tema \u201cRekayasa Geoteknik Guna Membebaskan Indonesia dari Barier Interaksi antar Daerah\u201d. Ajang ini diikuti oleh puluhan universitas di Indonesia, dan UMS berhasil menembus enam besar finalis bersama perguruan tinggi ternama lain.<br \/>\nTim GEOTERRA CUBE beranggotakan Muhammad Yuli Pamungkas (D100230258), Nihayatul Khoiriyah (D100230188), Iqbal Muhammad Atha (D100230260), dan Kiara Rennita Nurhasanah (D100230273), dengan bimbingan dosen Teknik Sipil UMS, Gayuh Aji Prasetyaningtiyas, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-29248\" src=\"https:\/\/news.ums.ac.id\/id\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/09\/FotoNewsUMS-Tim-Dosen-UMS-Rancang-Inovasi-Mesin-untuk-Efisiensi-Produksi-Pupuk-Kotoran-Kambing-Ramah-Lingkungan-di-Sragen-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dalam perlombaan, tim ini menghadirkan inovasi berupa konfigurasi geosel berbentuk segitiga dengan lima lapisan geotekstil untuk penanganan tanah lunak. Inovasi tersebut dinilai memiliki keunggulan dari sisi kekuatan maupun efisiensi biaya.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlhamdulillah, inovasi yang kami usung ini merupakan bentuk baru yang belum pernah diterapkan di lapangan. Juri menyebut ide konfigurasi segitiga ini bisa menjadi alternatif yang potensial untuk pengembangan infrastruktur di Indonesia,\u201d ungkap Kiara Rennita, Senin (8\/9).<\/p>\n<p>Proses kompetisi berlangsung dalam tiga tahap, mulai dari pengumpulan paper studi kasus, perakitan model dan pengujian di laboratorium, hingga presentasi hasil di hadapan dewan juri. Pada tahap final, tim UMS berhasil menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan inovasi mereka dibanding peserta lain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUntuk tahap final, kami menginovasi geosel dengan konfigurasi segitiga. Selain itu, kami menggunakan lima lapisan geotekstil sehingga hasil permodelan kami lebih stabil. Inovasi ini kami simulasikan untuk kondisi tanah lunak, yang banyak dijumpai di Indonesia,\u201d lanjut Kiara.<\/p>\n<p>Hal senada disampaikan Nihayatul Khoiriyah. \u201cPengalaman ini sangat berkesan karena dari UKM CUBE, kami biasanya lebih sering ikut lomba struktur atau tender. Baru kali ini ikut lomba geoteknik, dan langsung bisa podium. Jadi ini benar-benar first experience yang membanggakan,\u201d tuturnya.<\/p>\n<p>Selain dari sisi teknis, tim juga menekankan bahwa inovasi mereka ramah dari segi anggaran. \u201cKami tidak hanya memikirkan kekuatan struktur, tapi juga bagaimana inovasi ini bisa efisien dari segi biaya. Jadi harapannya tidak memberatkan ketika diterapkan di lapangan,\u201d tambah Iqbal Muhammad Atha.<\/p>\n<p>Muhammad Yuli Pamungkas selaku ketua tim mengungkapkan rasa syukurnya atas pencapaian timnya. \u201cKami satu-satunya tim dari perguruan tinggi swasta yang masuk final. Peserta lain didominasi kampus negeri. Itu jadi pengalaman berharga sekaligus motivasi besar bagi kami untuk terus berinovasi,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Pada akhir wawancara, tim GEOTERRA CUBE menyampaikan harapan agar inovasi yang mereka bawa tidak hanya berhenti di kompetisi namun bisa berkelanjutan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSemoga ide ini bisa diterapkan di Indonesia, sekaligus menjadi inspirasi bagi adik-adik di UKM CUBE untuk berani mencoba bidang lain, khususnya geoteknik,\u201d pungkas tim.
