Herry Purnama, MT, PhD dengan pembicara CEO PT Kappa Carragenan Nusantara Hamzah Moch Baabud, S.T. yang bergerak dalam bidang industri rumput laut dan Refined Carrageenan dan diikuti lebih dari 50 orang baik luring maupun daring.<\/p>\n<p>Herry Purnama, MT, PhD manyampaikan acara ini merupakan kejasama S1 dan S2 teknik kimia UMS dengan tujuan mendekatkan dunia kampus dengan industri yang dapat diaplikasikan secara nyata, selain itu dia juga berharap untuk mahasiswa lebih bersemangat lagi untuk menjadi wirausaha dengan melimpahnya, Sumber Daya Alam baik di darat maupun di laut yang dapat diolah sesuai disiplin ilmu yang digeluti.<\/p>\n<p>Seminar Kewirausahaan ini memiliki garis besar mengenai umbi porang dan hasil olahannya (Tepung Konjac \/ Glukomanan) yang bernilai tinggi karena Kandungan Glukomanan Karbohidrat dengan kadar mannan yang cukup tinggi dan mempunyai sifat yang khas, antara lain membentuk larutan viscous (kental\/kenyal) bila dicampur dengan air, tahan terhadap air, dan bersifat adsurbens.<\/p>\n<p>Sehingga tepung porang banyak digunakan dalam industri makanan dan minuman, farmasi, kosmetik, kertas, tekstil, karet sintetis dan banyak lagi lainnya.<\/p>\n<p>Selain itu Hamzah Moch Baabud menyampaikan bahwa produk olahan porang yang digunakan \/ dikomsumi memiliki efek baik bagi tubuh seperi menurunkan lipida darah, menurunkan gula darah, mencegah sekaligus menghambat kanker, menurunkan obesitas, dan mengatasi sembelit.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Hasil olahan porang ini memiliki banyak menafaat bagi tubuh seperti mengurangi obesitas,menghambat kanker, menurunkan limpa darah dan gula darah,&#8221; papar Hamzah.
