Meraka adalah para peserta Try In atau pertandingan persahabatan antara UKM Taekwondo Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) dengan Taekwondo Univesitas Semarang (USM). Teriakan-teriakan khas Taekwondoin jelas terdengar sepanjang latihan untuk memopa semangat dan menyatukan energi.<\/p>\n<p>Latihan bersama ini bertujuan untuk mengasah kemampuan para atlet serta memberikan pengalaman baru dalam bertanding. \u201cTujuan lainnya mempererat silaturahim antar perguruan tinggi lainnya, dalam hal ini dengan USM,\u201d jelas Adhiasa Mahendra Wijaya, Kepala Bidang Kepelatihan UKM Taekwondo.<\/p>\n<p>Peserta yang mengikuti try in, jelas Adhiasa adala para atlet UMS dan USM baik yang pemula maupun yang sudah pernah berlaga dikejuaran besar. \u201cDiikuti sebanyak 87 atlet taekwondo\u201d sambung Adhiasa mahasiswa semester 3 prodi Manajemen FEB UMS ini.<\/p>\n<p>Meskipun banyak atlet pemula yang mencoba bertanding di atas matras, tapi jangan diremehkan, banyak pukulan, sabetan, tendangan dan jurus lainnya diperagakan oleh mereka saat bertanding. Selain itu, Adhiasa menceritakan, atlet-atlet berpengalaman ikut menunjukan kebolehannya, sehingga bisa dicontoh oleh para atlet muda. \u201cPertandingan yang bagus dari atlet-atlet berprestasi, dapat berguna untuk cerminan atlet-atlet pemula. Sebagai bekal untuk pertandingan di jenjang selanjutnya,\u201d Imbuh Adhiasa.<\/p>\n<p>Terakhir, dari latihan bersama tersebut, kedua pihak berharap persahabatan antar kedua kampus akan terus terjalin. Selain itu, Adhiasa berharap, ke depan UKM Taekwondo mampu unggul dalam kejuaran-kejuaraan yang akan datang. \u201cSemoga dengan adanya try in ini, para atlet khususnya UMS, skill-nya semakin berkembang. Sehingga bisa memenangkan berbagai kejuaraan di jenjang yang lebih tinggi dan dapat mengharumkan nama UMS,\u201d pungkasnya.
