Waluyo Adi Siswanto, M.Eng., Ph.D., menyampaikan pidato pengukuhan yang bertajuk &#8216;Teknologi Simulasi dan Optimisasi untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Produk Manufakturing&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJudul ini saya pilih untuk mengingatkan kita bahwa kita berada di ujung era Revolusi Industri 4.0 yang ditandai oleh transformasi teknologi digital di berbagai bidang industri dan bisnis. Dan kita sekarang berada di era transisi antara Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan era Society 5.0,\u201d paparnya saat memberikan Pidato Guru Besar di Gedung Auditorium Moh. Djazman UMS, Senin (27\/11).<\/p>\n<p>Teknologi simulasi dan optimisasi, lanjutnya, memiliki prospek yang cerah di masa depan, karena dapat memberikan berbagai manfaat, seperti: menghemat biaya dan waktu produksi, karena dapat menguji berbagai skenario dan alternatif model tanpa harus membuat prototipe fisik atau mengubah peralatan nyata.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSelain itu juga akan meningkatkan efisiensi dan produktivitas, meningkatkan kreativitas dan inovasi, meningkatkan keamanan dan kesehatan, mengurangi risiko kecelakaan, cedera, dan polusi yang mungkin terjadi dalam proses produksi,\u201d ujar Guru Besar Ilmu Teknik Mesin itu.<\/p>\n<p>Beberapa contoh teknologi simulasi dan optimisasi yang dapat digunakan dalam industri manufaktur adalah: Robotika, Additive Manufacturing Pencetakan 3D, Internet of Things (IoT), yang menghubungkan berbagai peralatan, sensor, dan data dalam jaringan untuk memantau dan mengendalikan proses produksi secara real-time, juga Artificial Intelligence (AI), untuk analisis data, belajar dari pengalaman, dan memberikan solusi yang optimal untuk berbagai masalah produksi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOleh karena itu marilah sebagai universitas kita mempersiapkan generasi muda angkatan kerja masa datang yang prospektif dengan menawarkan berbagai program studi baru yang mendukung perkembagan revolusi industri 4.0 dan menyongsong era society 5.0,\u201d tegas Rektor Universitas Muhammadiyah Malaysia itu.<\/p>\n<p>Per Aspera Ad Astra, itu lah motto Profesor Waluyo Adi Siswanto ketika di usia muda, yang artinya &#8216;melalui hal-hal sulit menuju bintang&#8217;. Kemudian dalam bekerja mempunyai semangat &#8216;to the best of knowledge, to best of ability&#8217;, dan sekarang ini memikirkan bagaimana membentuk generasi penerus yang lebih baik dari dari sebelumnya, tetapi tetap ingat kehidupan di dunia dan di akhirat. Islam Agamaku, Muhammadiyah Gerakanku. Begitulah Profesor Waluyo Adi Siswanto, yang low profile, sederhana dan bersahaja.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam kesempatan itu, Sekertaris Senat UMS, Nurgiyatna S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., menyampaikan apresiasi kepada Profesor Waluyo. Selain mendapatkan tugas dan peran tambahan sebagai rektor di Universitas Muhammadiyah Malaysia (UMAM), Prof Waluyo bersama Prof Bambang Setiaji menginisiasi seleksi mahasiswa baru UMS dengan layanan One Day Service (ODS).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPertama kalinya UMS menerapkan sistem One Day Service dan bertempat di ruangan ini, Auditorium Moh.
